| Sauvignon
Touraine AOC 2002 Vallée des Rois
A well-deserved
Gold medal winner at the Angers Wine Fair in
February 2003, this superb Sauvignon is full of exceptional
Loire
charm: dry, fruity and light. It has a bouquet of currant
and elder
leaves, and is well balanced on the palate with lemon and
citrus
fruits, with a long, elegant, "Muscat-like" finish.
We recommend
you enjoy this newly discovered treasure within the first
year. |

Cabernet
AOC Touraine 2000 Domaine de la Chatoire
This red,
a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon,
is an excellent example of the 2000 vintage; ruby-like in
colour with a rich aroma of strawberries and currants. Its
luxurious
flavours, although complex, are harmoniously balanced on the
palate, culminating in a really satisfying full-bodied wine.
Although it is currently in peak condition, it may be laid
down for a couple of years to develop a more mature bouquet. |

| Cot
AOC Touraine 2000 Vallée des Rois
Some have overlooked this charming grape, also known as Malbec,
for far too long. An attractive, fruity, exuberant red for
drinking this year, the Cot is light, with a characteristic
bramble aroma. Once again, the 2000 vintage shines through,
producing a crisp wine with a satisfying finish.

 |
| The Touraine wine region of France is at the heart of the
huge Loire wine producing area. It is proud of its long history
of quality wine production. |
 |
| It is an area well known to many from this country, as it
is one of the most popular holiday regions in France. It is
the region of the French Châteaux such as Chenoceaux,
Chambord, Cheverny and so on. |
| The
style of its wines mirrors the region - stylish, traditional and full
of beauty. |
| Many people believe the Touraine only produces white wines,
but in fact over half the production of the area is red. The
main grape is the Cabernet Franc, and the style of these reds
is full and generous.
|
|
| Our
recent visit to the Touraine confirmed quality wines are still very
much in evidence, and we are happy to offer you a range that clearly
demonstrates this. We are also confident that these wines will be
excellent partners with food. |
| Not only that they also offer surprising value for money
- particularly our mixed case deal. |
| However,
as some of our wines are only produced in small quantities we strongly
advise you order as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment. |
