Ch. Coupe-Roses Minervois Blanc 2001 This white wine made from the Rousanne grape, famed as one of two varieties traditionally associated with the Northern Rhone. 20% is aged in oak barriques. Now this wine has herbal overtones and a richness of honey, fresh butter and apricots Ch. Coupe-Roses Minervois 2003 Cuvee Les Plots A cuvee produced and aged in stainless steel. A blend of 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 15% Carignan. This medium bodied wine of dark ruby colour, gives black cherries, pepper and leather on the nose. On the palate there are copious ripe tannins with a long finish Ch. Coupe-Roses Minervois 2003 Cuvee Granaxa Granaxa (dialect for Grenache) is a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah and is made in older barrels. This is one of the best grenache made in the Languedoc. It has great purity and that irresistible Grenache sweetness that normally is only found in fine Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The nose of the 2003 Granaxa is lovely, with sweet cherry and gamey notes and nuances of smoke and leather. It has a wonderful structure of soft tannins and a fruit extract. There is real character in this wine, a warm Grenache typical of the south but packed with flavour. Ch. Coupe-Roses Minervois 2002 Cuvee Orience This wine is medium to dark ruby coloured. It was aged for 13 months in new oak barriques. It has become raspberry scented with outstanding depth of fruit. On the palate there are sweet black cherries, dark raspberries, chocolate and a hint of tar. Drink now or keep another 6 years.

| It has been in the hands of the de Calvez family since 1614, but Françoise de Calvez and her husband, Pascal Frissant, have been in control since 1987. Together they have revitalized the estate. | |||
