In 2000 the idea for Harlequin Wines was conceived by Martin Bayne and Richard Goodacre specially to establish a means of finding and selling wine to a discerning wine lover.
With a simple philosophy of searching long and hard to find the new, the unusual and the delightful we could ensure quality and value by dealing direct with the wine-makers.
After the first year Richard needed to spend more time with his University job and other interests. He left, and Harlequin Wines grew year on year. He can still be relied on to give advice if required.

VillaForano 2008 Occhio Di Gallo IGT Marche Rosato 704-Ro. Cherry red colour with a hint of light red. Fragrances ranging from floral to fruity with a suggestion of cyclamen, plum and fresh red berries. The mouth is very pleasant, of good structure and typical freshness. A blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes.
